H1 and H4 visa interview
Hi all,
I would like to share our interview experience. I attended Chennai consulate for my first time H1 and H4 for my wife. I had H1 sponsored from reputed US university. All the VO asked was for my petition details, LCA, and pay slips. He told both of us that we have got visa. Then he said that my wife would need to apply with new passport as there was slight damage in her old passport (the lamination on last page was coming off around the edge) and was issued 221(g)for that. She applied with new passport and got her visa stamped in a week time.

Friend, the important lesson learned is be very careful about the passport and keep it in safe/secure place. Take care to see it has not even slight damage to it (first, last page should be stain free, the lamination of hard cover should be good, protect from water/moisture). Hope my experience could help others.

This is a great forum and thanks for all the info.

Succesful H1B stamping @ Chennai after 221g for 2 times
First of all I am thankful to ppl whoever posted their exp's in this site. I got visa after 221g for 2 times. My experieces went as below.

25 Sep: I first attended on this date. The questions went like this

1. Show ur educational docs
2. What project ur going to work for
(I said inhouse project for development of product xxx)
3. When is this product xxx development started
4. Who r the clients for this product xxx
5. Any body reviewed this product xxx
6. Hou many ppl r working in india for this company.
7. Do u have tax docs for this company
(unfortunately i dont have, I showed w2 wage n tax docs, but she is not satisfied)

So VO stressed on inhouse project bcoz she wants to know whether it is existing or not. I was issued 221g for following docs
1. company tax docs for last 2 yrs
2. unemployment wage reports for past 3 quarters
3. Notalrized list of employees working on product xxx in US, their designations, salaries , immigration status
4. project description, market analysis etc

7 Dec: I prensented all the docs my employer gave.

She is satisfied with tax docs and project details. She did not understand the format of unemployment wage reports. And also my emplyer gave payroll of all the employees in the company instead of giving detailed particulars of ppl working on veritop.

So I was again issued 221g for the following
1. unempoyment wage reports
2. list of employees on product xxx

14 feb: My employer gave this time all the docs Notarized.

Notarized unemployment wage reports(same previously given docs with notarization as she did not assume them to be wage reports last time)
Notarized list of employees, their details working on product xxx.

This time i was not asked a single question. Just after reviewing the docs i was approved visa.

My suggestions:
If it is inhouse project definitely take along with u some docs relating to that project.
Company tax docs n unemployment wage reports
If it is client project dont forget to take along with u client letter.

In my case my employer took so much time in proving me the docs, so i suggest u to follow up ur employer thru phone or mail for the docs in case ur issued 221g.

All the best for all u ppl to succesfully get a visa....

Thanks n Regards,
Shankar Choudhary

Additional Administrative Processing at New Delhi on 14th Feb 2007
Hi Everybody,

It was a very bad experience for me at Delhi Embassy on 14th Feb.

Here are the my experience details..

My interview time was at 11:00am..I have reached there by 9:45am.

Security check was over by 10am. VFS guys will be helping to arrange the documents.
I was in the queue for finger prints, it took
nearly one hour.

So by 11am, I have joined in the main queue (for non immigrant visa line). I was in the queue for 2hrs.
By 1pm my turn has come. Exactly Visa Officer's shift has been changed.

For me Visa officer is a guy of 26 to 28yrs. Freshly he has played a game with me.

He has checked my Educational certifications and I hope he has got some doubt. My qualification is Master of Engineering. Not a Computer Science branch.

for me, they took DS-156, Ds-157, LCA, I-129 petition details,US Company offer letter, US Company current project documents, Current (india) company offer letter and experience, appraisal letters.

i was issued AAP(additional administrative processing).
I have been given a Yellow form on which this paragraph( related to AAP) is marked.

By chance,if anyone has faced same problem, here are my questions.

Which color form you've been issued ?

Which documents they've taken from you for the first time ?

If you send me a reply, it'll be really a very great helpful for me.
Please help me out.

Thanks and Regards,
Kiran
