H1 Visa stamping done successfully in chennai consulate
Hello Frds this site is very useful for all who will attneding the Stamping.
My slot time is 10 AM morning on decmber 11th.
i went to Consulate around 9:30 Am , after all the Checking and everything i went inside at 10 clock .
Due to heavy crowd they have openned another counter for verifying the documents .
they have taken my Passport and HDFC bank receipt , I 797, LCA, EA and all .
and told me that wait for some time .after 1 hr they have given me all the documents with rubber band.
i was really scared bcos they have not give Green floder. Some of them in this forum mentioned that Green color folder is directly indication for giving the VISA.
BUT THATS 100 PERCENTAGE WRONG STATEMENT.
after i was taken my folder they asked me to wait for finger print scaning . USA lady taken the finger prints.
after that India Officers asked to stand at counter Number 4 . again they shifted to counter no.3 again theyshifted to counter no 9.
In counter Number 9 , VO is asking all the documents like TAX returns company fotos and project documentation.
i was really scared bcos i dont havwe all these documents.at this time i did a prayer for God.
Surprisingly they asked to moved counter no 10.
i was really scaring . my time come in front of VO.
VO is a young USA lady looks very pretty.
VO:: Hello Sir Good afternoon.
ME:: Good afternoon madam How Are u?
Vo.: Give me u r documents ?
ME: i was give my documents
VO: R u looking for a New Job?
Me: YES Madam
Vo: why do u want to change the Company?
ME: For better enhancement of my career and also to get the much needed international exp.
Vo: why much needed?
ME: USA work exp will recognize globally.
VO: How much salary they offering u?
Me: i told $ YYYY X
Vo: what is u r heightest educational degree?
ME: i told MCA
Vo: where is u r MCA certificates?
me:Handed over all my MCA marks list and MCA Convacation .
VO: i want individual semister wise amrks List.
ME: i dont have madam , i have only consolidated one.
Vo: She asked give me u r Degree certificates?
Me: i gave my degree marks list and convacation.
also i told her these are SSC and Intermediate marks .
Vo: i dont want X and inter marks.
she verified my MCA and degree certificated minim 10 mins .
VO: She asked me to give u r Project documentation.
ME: i told , madam i working in J2ee tech they were very much satisifed with my tech skills and exp, they have several YYYY XX projects , once i go there they will assign me a project which is sutiable to my tech skills.
VO: Do u have any supporting documents from u r Employer?
Me: Yes madam i handed over all the documents which are sent by employer.
she verifed all the documetns and and and Gloden words .............
U R VISA APPROVED.

pls get your wife visa status change in chennai itself or else you will have to face lot of problms at port of entry cos every h1b visa ppl should show their i797 original at the port of entry in case if you are unable to produce that they will create a mess
be careful fax ,call or email the embasy regarding the mistake and take action accordingly

first of all thanks to the site moderator and the people who are posting their experiences. I have attended visa interview on Dec14 th. She asked me 5 questions.
1) How did you got this job?
2) How much they are paying?
3) where am I going to stay?
4) How did I selected for that post
5) Had I travelled to US earlier
after that she approved my visa.
My suggestion.
Go and attend visa interview in Mumbai if you have chance.

I attended interview at Chennai consulate on 15th Dec 2006.
I submitted all the documents to VO.
VO: hi h ru
me : good maam, h r u doing
VO: no response
VO: on which project u r going to work in US?
me: I am going to work in inhouse project of **** company.
VO: do u have any doc regarding project?
ME: no maam , my employer didn't send me anything regarding this, as this is confidential.
VO: can u show me ur Master's Degree?
Me: i showed my convocation and marks sheet.
VO: can u show me ur bachelor degree?
Me: i showed my bachelor degree.
(Friends do not tell ur qualification like MCA, tell it completely like Master of Computer Applications)
VO: can u show me tax returns of ur employer?
Me: maam, i didn't have them. (my employer didn't send me tax returns and project description, they said it is not required for their firm).
VO: is that also confidential. (seriously)
VO: gave me 221(g) query .
Me : Thank U maam;
Friends don't go to the interview without project itinarary and tax returns of ur employer.
So many persons on 15th Dec got query, due to the lack of these documents.
Two of my friends also got queried for the same thing.
Even if ur employer tells you that, it is not required, insist him to send these docs.
I observed in other counters also every VO is asking for Project Description/letter from client stating on which project u r going to work,

i submitted my ds forms at VFS office...but i need one clarification...i submitted the old DS forms... which i am having with me from 1 septemnber(at the tiem of interview at chennai).Is this going to create any problem for me...
