hi,

first some background, i appeared for h1b at london consulate on 23 oct, the vo told me o attend in india as all my education was completed here.

so attended for visa interview at mumbai on 14th dec and got approved , here is how the interview went

vo: what are you going to do?
me: what excatly do you mean by that.
vo: why are you going to us?
me: explained in brief the project i was going to work on and for which company.
vo: i am very happy you are the only one who has explained me properly what it is you are going to do.
vo: what are they going to pay you?
me: told?
vo: it says that your visa was rejected?
me: told him about my london consulate exp.
vo: you look different in your photograph, and they called another vo to verfiy if the man inphotograph and me were same. the other officer asked me to take my spects off and confirmed it is the same manand to aprrove visa?
vo: entered my new application photograph on the computer and told me , i am approving your visa.,
and to have a nice stay .

friends , every one who entered before me for an interview got his visa approved, so be calm and take your own time to answer and dont go into tech details , just explain how you explain to a layman. and only get into details if he asks.

with regards,

maruti.

I got a burning problem Plz Plz shoot a mail . I Badly need some one's help
Hi all,

When i went to Chennai consulate on Dec 11th. She has given me a 221(g).

She has marked every thing on the paper and given me. on the 221(g) she stamped " Application Received". even on the passport she stamped the same thing.

And on the back of the paper she tick on "submit the additional information through VFS" . Is it necessary that i need to submit through VFS or can i go to the consulate.

Got H1 Visa
I attended my H1 interview on 12th Dec and got visa.
Thanks to all who has contributed their invaluable experiences which has helped me a lot to prepare well before hand for the D'day.

My interview time was at 10AM and I reached the place by 9:45AM. I finished all the process and was out of the consulate by 12:10PM.

Questions asked by VO(male) at counter no 14 to me
1. How did you get this offer?
2. How many employees were working in this company?
3. What will you do there?
4. Which technologies you were into?
5. How many years of exp you have?
6. Show me your certificates?

That's it guys, no further questions or documents he has asked. He told me that I will get my passport in couple of days through VFS.

One suggestion to all aspirants is don't get worried/panic by questions the VO ask or if he rejects or send back with 221g the candidate before you in line.

Mind that your case is different and attend with full confidence. The only difference you can make is wish him with a smile.

All the Best.

i appered an interview on 9thNov06 they issued 221G on Wages report, and they told to use drop box. So i drop all marked documents on 8thDec. I got My passport back on 14thDec with one letter states that
Based on the documents you have submitted to us, and the information elicited in your interview with an american consular officer, you do not appear to be qualified for an H-1B temporary work visa.
In accordance with United states law and Department od State guidelines, action on your case has been suspended, and the I-129 Petition for a Non-Immigrant Worker filed on your behalf will be returned to USCIS woth a memorandom explaining facts of your case as presented to us at the time of interview. The US Consulate in Chennai is no longer handling your case, and will be unable to give you any information on the state of your petition.
Your visa was refused today under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act(INA). Essentially, this section states that a visa cannot be issued to anyone whose application does not appear to Consular Officer to meet the requirements of the INA or of the regulations thereunder.
? Will this is rejected or under 221g
