Successfull stamping
Hi,
Thanks to all the members, this site helps me alot,
My experience :
Me: good morning,madam,
VO=goodmorning,currently where are u working ?
Vo=why do u want to go to US?
Vo=where will you stay in US?
Vo=how did you got this Job
Vo=your visa is approved,
I need your help , please guide me anybody is going to Detroit,USA, which flight is best deal with cheapest rate,
I am going for the Company called " GALAXY SOFTWARE SOLUTION INC.",DETROIT,MICHIGAN, Who is going for the same company please mail me so that we can plan our journey,
I was going through this site ahead of my interview date on December 8, 2006 for H1B. I
had Visa interview in Chennai on December 8, 2006. Visa was not stamped. Visa Officer handed out 221 (g) to me.
The Visa Officer (VO) has retained the following documents (received from my employer) with him:
1)I 797
2)I-129 Petition
3)Letter addressed to USCIS for the petition.
4)Evaluation of Training, Education and Experience along with profile of valuer.
5)Client letter.
Along with the above, the Visa Officer had also retained with him my Experience Certificate issued by my present employer.
At the end of the interview, the VO had handed out form 221 (g) to me marking against column your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made. This office will contact you once this administrative processing is complete.
A stamp stating Application received was put on the passport and returned it.
I do not have a clue on what will happen next. No clue as to how long the additional administrative process would take. No clue as to whether Consular office would return my I797, I-129 etc to me.
To give a brief on my back ground, I would introduce my self as a qualified chartered accountant with over 10- yaers ex[perience as a functional head of the accounts department with over 5 years of experience in implemenation of ERP project in the current Company. I donot have any masters degree. My apprehension is that the chartered accountancy qualificatuion is not equaivalent of US Bachelors Degree of 4 years. The experience of 5 years I had in ERP implementation was taken as equivalent of 1 year Bachelors and made it in 4 years by the Eduication Valuer.
I would be relieved if some body can through light on the outcome of my Visa Interview.
I suggest to all the people going to the interview to go with confidence and explain confidently for all the questions posed.
Hi All,
First of all i should thankful to immihelp as it gives lot of confidence in preparing my visa interview.
I had visa interview last week in NewDelhi.
They didn't ask any docs except B.Tech degree and marks memo.
He asked me some Qs like why want to leave current job and what kind of role ur doing here etc.
What feel from my interview is how much confident you are with VO during interview not the no of documents you carried.
Hi friends, thanks to all who have shared their exp before in this site.
It has been long waiting for me to attend the interview, and the day had come on 7th dec to attend the interview but finally I got 221g asking for additional documents. But I am not worried, going to attend the interview as soon as I get documents from my petitioner.
Chennai consulate office is look like our Indian banks. Cool weather nothing to worry.
I am from a No.1 FMCG company has 2.5years of domain exp and 2 years of functional experience.
Most of the readers knew that there will be regular check of your documents, my advice to all you is that be there at least 30min at the consulate.
VO was a young lady and, when my term came to attend,
VO: Good morning
ME: Very good morning (with tension)
VO: What is your educational background?
ME: BSC Comp.
VO: I can have your certificate
ME: Yes Madam. (I observed that she was typing hall ticket number to find wheatear it is genuine certificate.)
VO: What project are you going to work?
Me: Balh Balh
VO: Can I see your project service agreements.
ME: Given to her. (She was typing some thing in the computer)
VO: I can I see your Experience letters.
ME: Given to her. (At this moment I was very happy that, because I have given what ever documents she was asking.)
VO: where are the TAX PAPERS?
ME: Given to her
VO: Can I take your finger prints.
ME: At this moment I was really happy, I was under impression that she is going to issue me the VISA.
Finally she took a 221g blue colour paper, asking to submit employee wage 2 reports.
Be confident, it is not easy but once you reach there you will become automatically. Dont get panic if somebody visa gets reject.
Any body wants any kind of suggestion, please post here.
All the best

well, H4 visa interview is very simple, if you have all required documents.
First of all i am very much thankful to this site and all of you sharing your experiences.
Go to the consulate before 30mins and you feel confident by seeing different people with differen fellings.
on dec 6, i got the H1B stamping done.My appoint was at 10 Am, i have reached there at 9.30 AM and entered into the Q, after all formality checkups directly entered into the Visa lobby where people are waiting for interview(commonly after formal checkups they will take our documents and we need to wait for the folder which contains all our documents, becoz of heavy croud they opened 2 more counters in another building where interviews take place) there i have given my documents and waited in the lobby for the folder, after that security called me and given the folder and i stood in the Q for finger prints, after that i entered in the line for visa interview(commonly after finger prints they will give token for interview and they will call the token number)becoz of heavy croud they opened one more counter for visa interview and security guy send few people to this counter, luckly i was in that..here the VO is very cool guy but he looks very serious and he is approving Visa for all the people.
My conversation with the visa officer:
VO: Good morning sir
Me: very Good Morning sir and given the folder to him
VO: How did U find this job
Me: one of my friend working with this company
VO: How long
Me: for a 2 years
Vo: How long u r a programmer
Me: said my total experience
VO: show me ur certificates
Me: I have given all my certificates
VO: Show me ur experience letters
Me: given all my appointment and experience letters
He has seen five mins on my exp letters and given golden words that i approved ur visa...then i said thanks a lot.
I had a Visa appointment on 13th Oct 2006 at 12.30pm. I stood in the queue at 11am but was allowed to go in the bldg at 2.45pm.
I was waiting for my turn in the first building, after spending approximately 5 mins a representative came and said, "Sir, you are under BEP, so u r not required to wait in this queue, you can directly join the queue in the next building".
Joined the queue in the next building, after approximately two minutes, a representative announced from the top "Whoever carrying the BEP folders they can leave the queue and enter the building in 10 people together"
Followed his statement and entered the building along with other four applicants, we were stopped by two ladies inside the building asked us to handover the folders for varification and asked us to be sitted in the chairs, after approximately 10 mins one lady came back n called my name to collect the folder, then she directed me to stand in the queue where finger print scanning was going on. I stood in the queue for approximately 30mins, since the finger print scanning machine was under repair.
Immediately after the finger print scan, I went and sat in a chair with the intention of relaxing for sometime. After approximately 2 mins, I heard a voice in the speaker 'You gentleman, in white shirt can u please come over here?'
I went to the counter handed over the folder, while collecting the folder
VO: 'Gentleman, r u married?'
Me : No Sir, I am unmarried.
VO : Well, your Visa is approved, you may expect your passport after 3 days by courier.
As per the instructions after the interview I had to pay the courier charges but the DD was with VO
Me : Sir, DD is...
VO : Do not worry abt it, we will pay on behalf of you (with smile) you may leave now.
Me : Thank you sir, thanks for your time and have a nice weekend.
That's it.. very simple right ?
OBSERVATION:
I was observing the interviews going in other counters:
1. Have a smile on your face
2. Ask to repeat the question if you are not clear abt the same.
2. Give precise answers
3. Be honest, try not to bluff VO
4. Have your documents well organized
