Indian Passport

Hi,

I was trying to understand the passport renewal application and I did a mistake by using my real passport number. In my trial I gave some random information and made up a money order number and submitted it. Now when I am trying to submit the real application, it says an application is already in progress for my passport number.
I want to find out how to cancel my current application.
CKGS is not responding to my email(online enquiry)

Can anyone help me if faced a similar issue

Regular processing - minor passport renewal, Application is 'Under Process' at Consulate since Jun 25 without further updates - Anyone received updates recently with the same time frame? Though it says 2-3 weeks of average processing time, few of my known circle received passports within 10 days applied in the same week. If anybody receive updates please post...

While filling-up passport renewal application for my minor son, I forgot to add address under " Emergency Contact " details though I included my name and contact number. I filled-up application in SFO. How can I include it now ? CKGS is not reachable either via phone or mails.

Will they reject the application ? Kindly advise. Than You

Hello All, hope this question relates to some of you, i had submitted my Passport Renewal with CKGS New York a couple of days back under Normal Process and due to an Urgency i would need to Upgrade my process to Tatkal. I have been trying to reach CKGS with multiple emails on their preferred links with no response and this is very Urgent.

I would like to get your thoughts on what needs to be done in this case as i'm hanging with no proper response and this would jeopardize my stay in USA.

Appreciate your thoughts if anyone went through a similar ordeal of upgrading the Process

I have just sent my application to SFO CKGS. However, I did miss attaching the barcode on the fedex envelope.
The package is already delivered by fedex.

Has anybody faced made this mistake? What happens in such cases?

From last 5 days the status of my passport renewal is showing as Application is 'AT EMBASSY', I applied for passport renewal under tatkal category, the application was submitted to embassy by CKGS on Jul 02, 2020 12:38 pm, is anyone facing the same delay.

None of the contact numbers of either consulate or CKGS are working, no response of multiple emails as well.

Application - For self, reissue : validity <1 Year

Category - Tatkaal { No reasons / approvals were required - as confirmed by indian consulate over Pramit }

Original Dispatch - Thru FEDEX : 25th June
Delivered by FEDEX : 26th June

Status 1 : Received by CKGS : on Jul 02, 2020 - Application ‘Received’ by CKGS and 'Not Verified'.

Status 2 : Verification - Jul 03, 2020 - Application Verification is ‘Complete’.

Status 3 : "Under Process at CKGS" - Jul 03, 2020 - Application is ‘Under Process’ at CKGS.

Status 4 : "In transit to Consulate" - Jul 06, 2020 - Application is 'In Transit' to the Consulate.

Status 5 : "Under Process at Consulate" - Jul 06, 2020 - Application is 'Under Process' at Consulate for decision making.

Status 6 : "Completed review by Consulate" - Jul 06, 2020 - Application 'Reviewed' by Consulate and ‘In Transit’ to CKGS Application Centre.
 
Status 7 : "Received at CKGS" - Jul 06, 2020 - Passport ‘Received’ at the CKGS application centre and is at the ‘Sorting Facility’ where it is being processed for delivery.

Status 8 : "Dispatch" - Jul 06, 2020 - Passport picked up by FedEx.
To track the ‘Progress of Your Shipment’, log onto the site of FedEx and enter your AWB Number.

Status 9 : "Delivered" - July 07, 2020 at 4.05 pm

Observation - After the initial delay of 4 days, the process took less than expected. This initial delay could be due to "isolation" of packets being delivered thru FEDEX.

Overall, pleasantly surprised with the swift handling.

I have sent my application for my minor son passport renewal on June 23 , and I was seeing the status as on hold on July 3. With. Comments " the online nri application form missing parents signature , so please reprint the form and after either parent sign the form in page 4 " . I am totally confused , this form has only 5 pages and on 5 th page it's says the applicant should sign , so I made my kid to sign the form and sent it to ckgs. But they are confusing by wrongly mentioning the page no and am not sure both applicant and parent has to sign or only parent need to sign.

Also in commets it's mentioned like I need to notorise the form . But when I sent first time in ckgs check list they did not asked notory sign for online application form which we fill in emphasy website .

I got an email from NY CKGS on 23rd of June regarding the incomplete documentation. I shipped the missing document along with that email on 24th June and I got a notification from FEDEX that it got delivered on 25th.

After that I did not get any kind of notification from CKGS and its almost 2 weeks. In the CKGS website it still showing incomplete documentation from 23rd June. I put the feedback/complaint last week but still no update. Anyone faced similar problem?
