L1, L2 Visa

I was hearing all negative things about Singapore Consulate and was little worried how it will go as there are no experience shared about it.

So here it goes:

Unlike India, everything happens on your appointment day be it's your document verification, bio metric etc. My appointment was scheduled on 3/14/2017 at 10:45 am. So i went there one person checked my three forms of I1129-S, passport, appointment confirmation letter and one passport size photograph.

After that my bio metric , paid $500 USD fraud fees and then my interview:

VO: How are you doing today?
Ans - Doing great, how are you?

VO: Where are you going ?
Ans : xxxx

VO: How long have been working with this company?
Ans : 4 years

VO: What will you do in US?
Ans: YYYY X

VO: How long have you been in Singapore?
And : 2.5 years

After some 1 min of typing, he said "Your Visa is approved"

My overall experience was very good and it took only 45 mins for overall process.

So , I have done my ofc appointment in Delhi , almost 15 days back . So guys if you also did the same thing then do not forgot to bring the same DS 160 at the actual visa day otherwise you will not be allowed to enter in consulate building.

There was lot of people appearing for interview and I have my family , kid and wife . My kid was very restless and almost unmanageable and I came to know that you don't need to bring your child if she is below 8 years but for me it was a boon by God as after seeing my daughter is so restless VO could not ask more questions but it depends so if you can manage and have someone to look for child than better do not bring her to the interview.

Greeted officer? good morning and wish him happy holi. ( Very important , please be curtsious as these guys handling lot of interviews daily)

1- Are you working for xxxx?

    Ans -yes officer.

2- are you going to xxxxx state and yyyy city?

 Ans - yes officer

3- your specialized skill ?

Ans - preparing for this questions from last 3 months so answered very confidently
 
Design and developed proprietary tools and algorithms xxxx and yyyy also having expert level knowledge in proprietary big data warehouse.

4- what sort of data it holds?

Ans- customer loyalty and membership rewards.

5- your salary?

Ans - xxxxx + standard company benefits

More typing in the system and finally the words which I was hoping to hear that your visa is approved but there is some mistakes in your daughter entry and I was like WTF ...

And he asked for my daughter pic and luckily I was having some so again need to wait as he has to discuss the matter and I was not in the position to think anything but was confident that it will be sorted out and after whole 15 mins , officer came and said everything is ok now and stamped 2 copies of I129s and gave it me and said you will get your passport in 2 to 5 days.

I was confident although there is so much restlessness shown by my daughter and I just don't lost my cool .

I was scheduled for window no xx but the officer at the window was so much frustrated by previous interview and my daughter shouting and crying that he has to schedule us at other window but I still maintained by calmness after all she is my child and us visa is not the end of the world.

The key is :

1- Prepare for the unexpected .

2- Don't loose your cool in any situation

3- don't forgot to check your DS 160 and I 129s and check you have bank Employee signature on your demand draft . This happened yesterday that one guy brought a cheque without sign of bank.

4- be accurate in providing answers.

5- don't show any eagerness for getting the visa , just accept that you are fine if you don't have one but at the same time be generous and polite to everyone.

Now I have a question ,

Even though , vo took our passports and handed over the i129s but at the website it shows administrative processing by when it will be cleared?

I hope , I pen down my experience and hope it will help someone else.

To summarize my experience, I feel it's best to try and understand the intention behind a question and reply accordingly, giving a straightforward answer.
For L1-B, 2 questions are most probably going to be asked for sure - 1 - client info 2- special skills info.

My Petition is scheduled in Chennai.I have a kid age 1.5 years.
I need to bring my wife and kid for an interview.do we have any facilty in which i can give 1st interview and once it is done my wife completes her round separately so that we have No disturbance from small kid.
or is it we all 3 will be in front of same counter.Also let me know if we have any translator facility for my wife.does her interview can be done in English only.

My L1 A Individual Petition is approved in Jan.2017 and my visa stamping is scheduled on 21st March.

Query:
My US proposed client and onsite location has been changed after my petition is been filed(Florida) and now my DS-160 contains new location (California) i.e. US state change.

My Company immigration team suggesting to go ahead with Visa stamping process with proper justification for this assignment change.

Anyone have prior experience on this ?

I seriously believe that the positive were
1. Used very simple language so that a nontechnical person can understand.

I wanted to ask some general questions. Me and my husband is working in same company and our company has applied for L1B visa for both of us.

What are the chances of visa getting approved here . Has anyone experienced it before?

I wanted to post my experience for L1B renewal right after my interview but hope this will help now.

It was good experience. VO was very nice and happy during whole interview. She approved my renewal.
