L1B Approved on 9th Dec @ Chennai
Guys go and try you luck. You know all the question, you already prepared your answers. Now only thing is left that you will get the visa or not.

Same 4-5 question they asked me, I gave all the answers in SHORT but with full confidence.

One thing which I observed if you are engineering in computer science branch, then you have bright chances to get visa (That's only my observation, there are other thing also) .

Also, dont be FAKE.. give you best shot.

Thanks immihelp
Best of Luck

See you in STATES :)

L1B Approved
Thanks a lot to all those who shared their experiences in immihelp. They were really helpful during my L1B visa interview on 8th Dec, 2011.

Following questions are asked by the VO offier.
1. What does YYYY company do?
2.Explain the YYYY company's products?
3.What is your experience in the company?
4.What is the purpose of your travel to US?
5.Why you and why not someone in US?

Answered all the questions using layman language. Do not underestimate the VO officer and use complex technical terminologies. Make sure the VO officer understands what you are speaking and convince him that you have a specialized knowledge in the company's proprietary products.

L1 blanket Rejected in Chennai consulate on Dec 5
Guys,

My L1b got rejected in chennai consulate on Dec 5,2011.

Below are the questions:

What is your current company experience?
What is your offshore salary?
What you would be doing in US?
Explain your specilization.

Last 8 L1b from our concern got rejected.

Better to avoid L1b this year. If you have more than 7 years of experience and already been to US for some time, then you have good chance.

Thanks for this site, which has helped me very much. The questions asked for me are very much same as mentioned in this thread. But only suggestion from side is prove yourself as a specialized worker. That will get you the visa.

Once again thanks for everybody who posted on their experiences in this forum and please continue it.

L1B approved @ Chennai Consulate on 1st Dec
A zillions of thanks to this site.....It has played a crucial role in getting my visa..

The questions asked to me by VO were as follows:
1) Which company do u work for?
2) Which Client u r going for?
3) How many years have u worked for your company?
4) How long will the project go(Duration)?
5) What special knowledge do u have?
Though i had prepared for this question a lot...i didn't say it the way i prepared for it..
I answered it in my own way and in simple words.
Guys..VO dont know the technical language so better u use the as much less technical words as possible.

The VO was not convinced with my specialized knowledge, so i told her in more detail without using technical terms.

Finally came the golden words from the VO....YOUR VISA IS APPROVED and u will receive ur passport in 3-5 working days!!!!!!

Tips for those who are going to appear for the visa interview:
1) Be confident
2) Don't panic
3) Give crisp and clear answers
4) Respond quickly to the VO's question...do not take pauses while answering.

Give ur best guys...this five minute interview can change ur life :)
All the best!!!!!!!!
