Hi Deep,
Even I submitted my DS160 to my travel department in first week of May. Looks like still no dates are available....not sure when will they open up the dates....by that time there will be hundreds of people looking for those dates.

Also, I heard that rejection rate in Delhi & Chennai is extremely high. Do you know about it?

admin process for l1 and l2
We had a interview last week for l1 indivisual and l2 for my wife and child.
Interview went fine but Lady gave blue slip and said they need to review the application and will get back to me in few business days and no documents need to be submitted.
She kept our passports with her.
Do anybody has same experience and how much chance I have and how much time it takes for admin processing. My case was under premium processing.

L1-B Approved but passport returned with a Yellow Slip
Appeared for an interview at 10:30 when my interview was scheduled at 11:00. They asked me to wait till the turn since it was too damn crowed in the delhi consulate.

got in to the consulate office and waited for almost 30-45mins for completing every single activity. Getting the docs checked - 30mins, token receiving - 20mins, waited for the token number to appear for - 1Hr. finger print scan - 10mins, draft submission - 10mins, 30mins for final interview.

Reached the counter and then starts the questioning session. Don't know why in the world that many questions where asked to me.

Anyways below are the questions.

Which company you working for?
How Long are you working for?
Total Yrs Experience?
how long with the project?
why do you want to go to US?
what specialization?
Tools? what tools? Explain about the tools?
Explain about the project?
how many times did you go to us before?
So you have been to Canada as well? how long did you stay there? What were you doing there?
Which company before your current company? and before that? and before that? and before that? and what is the duration with each company?
Current Indian Salary?
US Salary?

Ok, I am approving your Visa, But i won't be able to stamp your passport since your passport is damaged(The lamination at the last page had a little wear and tear). Gave me a Yellow slip and told me to get a new passport and submit new passport along with the yellow slip to the VFS center to get the stamping done.

I know i have cleared the interview, but still i have to get things done on my passport to get duplicate one for the stamping.

Hi All

My Visa got approved on 05/27. This site definitely helped me to prepare well enough.

The questions are as follows:

1. What work are u going to do in US?
2. What are your specialised skills?
3. What tools and Methodologies do use?
4. How much % is the usage of ur company tools and ur client tools?

thats it! It was pretty quick. I heard the VO saying that my Visa is approved.
Be confident! Be clear when u speak! Good luck!

H1B got 221(g) :Visa approved
Hi all,
Thanks for posting your experience which help me to get idea about the interview.

Here is my experience.

29th april was my H1B interveiw at chennai,

Following questions were asked by the VFO.
1) Have to been to US before
2) What you will be doing in US.
3) what is your US Salary
4) where is your US company located
5) what is your Highest degree.
then VFO asked for the documents related to LCA,129 petition etc. given those. VFO reviewed for a while and she gave me the Blue slip 221 (g).
and asked to submit those documents.
VFO also told me that, i dont have to make appointment for this. only submitting the document is enought.

I submitted all the requested documents to VFS chennai at 15th May.

27 May i got the Message on my mobile " Your passport with ref no:xxxxxxxx is ready for delivery"

28th May i received the passport with H1B visa stamping.
