L1B rejected
Even my L1B got rejected by a fully bald guy from chennai..I had my interview in a counter ajacent to prescreening area, not in a different building where the interview usually occurs.He was not even bothered to listen to me, even though I had around 6 year exp in my company

I have completed 4 years on L1 Visa in US
have completed 4 years on L1 Visa in US and returned to India recently.
My company applied for L1B visa and I got it approved for 3 years.
I am little confused here.

L1B rejected Chennai

I had my interview in Chennai which is known for its notorious rejecting nature.I ws royally rejected..I did answer to the point .This ws cnfirmed by my company visa cell as well..
The VO asked for my specialisation .I went on to explain my expertise and nature of work at onsite ..
ENd of it there was silence fr abt 1 min and the VO tuk out the blue slip ---- which means rejected !!!
So it s all luck as to who ur VO ll be..FRom what i heard look out for a fat lady wid brown hair and a bald guy..They cn get really nasty n reject all the visas on the earth fr all u knw!!!

L1 B Blanket approved at Chennai

Thanks a ton for this site and the readers who post their experience. I was so desperate to post my experience irrespective of I get or not get my Visa. I have been a reading the experience by the readers for the past 42 days from the day when I started preparing for my Visa Documents, I prepared the questionnaires and answers and would have modified the answers n times based on experience posted by the visa refusal candidates.
And today was my final trail at the Chennai Visa Consulate , My PA was at 11:15 and I reached the consulate exactly at 10.45am and went thru the standard security checks , paid my Visa fees I kept myself distracted by seeing a beautiful women and few girls , it was finally my turn I was asked to stand in a queue there were close to 7 counters among which 3 were women and 4 men,since I have been reading the comments that the bald men use to reject Visa I was bit hesitant to appear before him , luckily I was called at another counter who was a lady she had approved the previous visa so was again perplex if they had any logic to reject the visa if they had approved the previous one ( So Silly but this is what I thought at that moment )and she stared asking the same 3 questions
ME : Good Morning Mam
VO : No response
Made a mistake - Took the documents from the folder and handed over the documents alone
VO : Sir please put your documents in the folder (Sama Bulb)
Me : Handed over the documents along with the folder
VO : Returned back the pink challan
Vo :Whats your role at onsite
Me : Explained my role /client name / job description
Vo : Whats your specialized knowledge
Me : Explained the following
My total yrs of exp
Expr in the domain
Expr with the current client
Knowledge gained from the experience / hand on experience on the various a enterprise applications
Vo : Again asked my clients name
Me : Answered
VO : Place your left hand middle finger
Me : took a sec to get figure out what she asked ( Good I did not Sodhapify this)
My observersion/ Recommendations
Jus be very confident / cool / Calm ie c^3, Try to act if you can ( I did so) ,dont show that ur desperate to get the visa or to go to US/ show the attitude that U loose nothing if u don't get visa *

Me : good morning and doing good and u?
Vo: great, thank u. How long in xx company?
Me : 2 yrs 7 months
Vo : what are you going to do in US ?
Me : I am going to implement and enhance a project that i have designed and developed.
Vo : what is your US salary?
Me : told xx USD.
VO: what is your specialized skill?
Me : Sharepoint and xxx framework.
Vo : sharepoint cannot be considered as specialized skill. Tell me how much time will it take for a guy in US to understand this skill?
Me : approx 2 yrs
Vo : u have just 2 yrs 7 months of experience and you told that it will take 2 yrs to understand, then how did u became expert in this?
Me : I am actually involved in the development of the xxx framework.
Vo : you told 2 yrs to understand and after 2yrs and 7 months you developed also, which one to believe?
Me : I didnot develop the framework completely, I developed just a component of it.
Vo : So what else specialized skills you have?
Me : domain knowledge ( this actually frustated VO i think)
Vo : I dont believe you can gain domain knowledge in 2yrs and 7 months. There are many people in US who have more domain knowledge than what you have. Sorry sir your visa is not clearly approvable

MY L1-b visa got approved in chennai
Hi,
My L1-B visa got approved today and i am thankful to immihelp.
My interview was scheduled on 9:30 and I was there on time.
In the pre screening they’ve scanned my finger prints and I was told to pay my DD there. Once done, I was directed to the other building.
I’ve read about the FAT LADY in the immihelp and I don’t want to go there.... Never.......
They called people from 9:30 batch and made us all to stand in the 4th counter. And the fat lady was in the 2nd counter :). The crowd was more and I was standing at the last. Since the crowd was more I was directed to counter 2 AAAAAHHHH...... to the fat lady.
There was girl before me and her visa was rejected. And the reason is she is working as software engineer and her main stream qualification was Mechanical. The VO asked your masters is in mechanical but you are working as software engineer why? And the girl never expected this question from her and she trembled to answer. Finally she told it was my parent’s decision to join me in Mechanical engineering and I always wanted to do computers. The VO then asked if you have any subjects related to computers in your bachelors and masters, then the girl gave her mark sheet to her and told I have computer subjects in by bachelor but not in my masters. Then the VO returned her passport and the girl left sad.
And now it’s my turn.
VO: hi

VO: give me your folder
ME: gave it........blinking (cause last Monday my friend’s L1-b was rejected and given blue slip)
VO: Why are you going to US.
ME: going to deploy our project in our client’s infrastructure. And our project is bla… bla… bla…
And I specialized in our clients proprietary tools… like
VO: I’ve not asked about you specialization yet.
ME: ok.
VO: what is your current salary per year.
ME: per year <this much> and per month <his much>
VO: what is your experience in your current project?
ME: 1year and 7 months. And told about our clients proprietary tools and expertise in it.
VO: you don’t seem to be much qualified and you have a comparatively less experience. There must be some one in your company who is more experienced than you.
ME: blinking.......I never expected this......
I told: there are people who are more experienced than me in our company. But this project is a relatively new project and I’ve been in this since beginning.
VO: what is your team size?
ME: 8 people.
VO: Typed something......Ok...... Border line
And then came the words
You will get your passport in a week’s time by courier.

Refusals
Whats going on in Chennai is "Sampling".....
Imagine, they take close to 100 L1 every day...out of which they will approve only ~15-20.
All H1's (New & renewals) are by default moved to Admin Processing. if your employer is genuine then you will get it.
So dont have Visa as the only option. Have a backup plan in case your Visa gets refused.
