L1-B Blanket Approved [4th June]
I got my L1-B approved today. My appointment time was scheduled at 8:30am. But thanks to the procedures, that when I finally came out of the consulate it was 12:45pm. Out of this 4.15 hours, my actual interview time was merely 10-15 mins.

However, as everybody is already aware of the visa procedure thus I am just mentioning the questionnaires

Me: Good morning Ma'am!!
VO: Good Morning
Me: I think you called the token number YYYY for this counter [mentioned my token number]
VO: yes. right
[Handed over the token to her]
VO: So, you are from XYZ company?
Me: Yes.
VO: How long have you been in this company?
Me: As on today, it is exactly 35 months 2 days!! [it is easy to calculate. I joined on 2nd july'07]
VO: So that means almost 3 years, right?
Me: yes.
VO: Tell me what is your current project field?
Me: Banking & Lending, ma'am.
VO: What is your role in your project?
Me: Described
VO: And why are you going to US?
Me: Told her.
VO: Who is your client?
Me: My end client is: ZYX
As she missed the name, So I again mentioned the name.

Then she asked me for fingerprints
Meanwhile, I could see her writing something on the I-129. so I was sure I'm through..

After couple of minutes she confirmed my assumption with those GOLDEN words: "Sir, I am approving your visa. it will be sent to you within 4-5 business days."

Immihelp was a great help for me.. I really don't think one should worry about the visa interview if he/she has gone through the posts in this forum. Nobody would ask you any other question. So just consolidate all the questions you get here and prepare a suitable answer for you. Make sure the answers are foolproof.
Keep your confidence level higher. I will just advice people not to think much about the interview. Enjoy the whole thing and keep faith on yourself. Take my words, Visa Is Yours... :)

L1-B approved
I would like to thank this forum and all those people who posted on it.

I got my L1-B visa approved on June 04, 2010.

Even though my interview slot was at 8:30 in the morning, my turn to enter the consulate came at 11:30. You can very well imagine the crowd at the consulate. And after entering the consulate my interview was at 1315 hours which lasted for 15 min.

Below are my observations.
- Greet the VO with all your enthusiasm.
- Be in a proper attire cause when going for L1-B, you are actually representing your organization.
- Be confident while answering questions. Do not fumble.
- Maintain eye-to-eye contact with the VO and wear a smile on your face.
- Most important, while explaining your project or your skill, try to exemplify it with the VO in the picture.

Below were the questions asked from me:
Q: What is your project?
A: Explain your project in a precise manner giving importance to the backbone of it. Try to illustrate it with an example having the VO in it, but don't make it too long.
Q: What are you going to do over there?
A: This is where you need to explain your daily activities giving importance to you specialization.
Q: Where will you be working?
A: If you are going to work from the client location, do not hesitate in saying that, but also include who you will be reporting to.
Q: How will your project benefit the client?
A: This is where you will have to define the scope of the project and it's pros.
Q: How long have you been working on this Project?
A: xxx years and xxx months.

That's All.

Finally after wait of 5 long and sweaty hours, came the Golden Words.."Your Visa is Approved!!"

L1B and L2 visa approved on 02 Jun
I had visa interview on 02-June 2010 at Chennai Consulate. The appointment was at 09:45AM. I, along with my wife and kid (1.5 yrs old), went by cab and reached the Chennai Consulate at about 09:20AM and we were asked to go straight inside as we have kid. We carried only 2 plastic bags containing all relevant folders - one bag for me (principal applicant) and another for my wife and kid (marriage certificate, birth certificate etc).

The Interview happened for 15 to 20 mins and some of the Questions seem to be tricky

1. VO: How long you are with the current employer?

Me : I have been associated with xxx for the past ww years

2. VO: Who is your client?

Me: My Client is yyyy

3. VO: Last time you went in L1 B?

Me: No I went in H1B

4. VO: Why do you want to switch over to L1B now?

Me: Since I gained the specialized knowledge over the period of my experience my employer has filed L1B for me.

5. VO: How much experience do you have with this client?

Me: ww years

6. VO: What is your role at onsite?

Me: My role at onsite will be ggggg

(He laughed at us and said this is the common role everyone is coming with)

7. VO: What makes you so special to work at onsite?

Me: I have been working for the past ww years in developing similar applications and I have indepth knowledge on the aaaa system. Moreover I hav expertise in the bbbb framework and CCC, DDD which are xxx Products.

8. VO: Why someone can’t do the same work at onsite?

Me: I am the most experienced person working in this application for a long time and I have good knowledge and expertise on the same, I have been selected. Also the people at onsite do not have much experience on the application, hence I have been chosen for this assignment.

9. VO: When have gone through the Highest Degree?

Me: year zzzz

10. VO: What specialization?

Me: answered

11. VO: How long you guys have been married?

Me: We have been married for the past ww years

12. VO: Whether your marriage is Love or Arranged marriage?

Me: Answered

(He asked for the marriage certificate and we gave the same. He verified and returned back to us).

13. VO: How do you know each other?

Me: Answered

14. VO: What is your kids age (Not exactly the same wording)

Me: Answered

That’s it. The Golden words which we are waiting for a long time came out. He told “Your is visa is approved. All the Best”

Comments: Never get nervous and loose your smile at any point of time. Always have a smile on your face.Be confident. Luck also plays a big part. All the best!!!!

Important Note ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Notice: Recent Fee Change

As of June 4, 2010, all U.S. Consular Sections worldwide will move to a two-tiered fee structure for nonimmigrant visas. This structured system coincides with a small global application fee increase, designed to balance the costs of recent enhancements to the visa application process.

Applicants must pay the full fee as of June 4, regardless of the receipt's purchase date.

For appointments occurring before June 4th:
The old fee structure applies; please pay $131 at HDFC.

For appointments occurring on or after June 4th:
If you pay the fee on or after June 1, 2010 , HFDC will be able to issue the receipt in the new amount ($140 for B-1/B-2, $150 for H or L).

If you pay the fee before June 1, 2010 , HFDC will only be able to issue the receipt in the old amount. In this case, you will need to bring the receipt as well as a demand draft for the exact difference ($9 for B-1/B-2, $19 for H or L) to the Consulate. Paying in cash will create significant delays in visa processing.

Please note: The demand draft for the difference amount should be payable at Chennai and drawn favoring American Consulate General, Chennai.
