B2 visa for mom denied
My mom applied for B2 visitor visa. SHe had all the required documents for finacial evidence, evidence to return back(job and property) but the IO did not ask for anything. Just asked her annual income and rejected her. Anybody got any views on why she dint get the visa or where wedid wrong? Any help is appreciated.

my mom is going to have an Interview for green card= she is very old and sick and need an assistant to get to the us after issuing green card. the help that i need is just want to have and advise on what can i do to have my sister approved for a visa just to assist her get to us. i m tring to assist my sister foe visiter visa but i do not know if that is going to work or not. my sister she is maried and have 1 kid. please need you advise thank u.

I am Currently in US on L2 visa.
next year,i am planning to invite my parents to USA.
But,My mother's name in my Passport is "Laxmi" and and in my mother's passport her name "Laxmibai".
In my fathers's passport her name is "Laxmibai"
Will that create any problem during Visa Interview as my mother name is different in both passport.
If so,what are the supporting documents we need to attach.

Visitor visa approved for my Mother in law at Mumbai Consulate
We had made a mistake while filling out DS160 form. We had forgotten to write middle name in the form. We came to know about this mistake 2 weeks before the interview. We called up customer support and they asked to fill out another form and send them new DS160 barcode number and scanned copies of passport. They updated new barcode number on the profile page. It seems lot of people are making this mistake. So just call up customer support and they'll guide you.

3. What does he do
4. Where does he work
5. How many kids
6. Show I-797 form.
That's all. Visa was approved.

Regarding B2 Visa appointment
Hi,
I am graduating in 2 weeks, I was wondering if I can find a visa appointment for my parents in next 10 days in Hyderabad, I don't want to pay the Visa fee upfront without any dates. I thought you would have an idea on the available date as you have blocked one in recent times.

Visitor Visa Approved for my parents
My parents attended the visa interview at Hyd Consulate and they got visa.
They reached consulate office 30mins before the interview schedule time.
Q's asked:
My Dad:
1. Where are you going?
2. Who is there in USA?
3. What is the duration of your stay in US?
4. Where is your son working?
5. How many kids do you have?
6. What is your daughter doing and where is she now?
My Mom:
-no questions at all.

MRV receipt number NEFT ICICI bank
Hi ,
I made my payment using NEFT from ICICI bank. I did not get any response for almost 6 -8 hours after the payment. I wass not even sure what is the receipt number. It gave error saying its either invalid or not in the system etc.
Then i got an email after 8 hours of payment saying that the acknolwedgement is received now and i can book my appointment.
It was later prepopulated with receipt number(MRV).

DS160 got corrected after submission at Mumbai OFC Office
Hi
Two weeks back my mom went for fingerprints at Mumbai OFC Office. The problem with my mom’s DS 160 was that the birthplace on DS 160 was Kota, India but in passport it was Rajasthan India.Though I filled Rajasthan as state while filling the form but confirmation page did not pick that up. I realized this after taking interview appointment, but I thought it should not be problem as Kota comes under Rajasthan.
But as my mom reached for fingerprints, at entrance only Officer told that the form is wrong and we need to have a corrected DS 160 confirmation page. I was surprised because new DS 160 means new bar code. But the officer told that within an hour if we take a corrected DS 160 then they will continue with current appointment else we need to reschedule. I immediately filled a new DS160 and my mom took out print put there. The officer reviewed it again and let her go inside. Inside the office mom told what happened to one of the officer and they sticked the new Bar code on her passport and cancelled the old one. Later on she got her fingerprints and interview done and she got her visa.
So in a nutshell, officers at OFC Office consider the mistakes and give a chance you to correct it, at least at Mumbai consulate we experienced so.

B2 visa approved after previous rejection

I applied for my Moms B2 visa in June 2012 and got rejected as she was unable to present financial document.She had the file with her but she dint know when to present it to the visa officer.
We then applied for the visa on 9th november and by gods grace it got approved.The visa location was Mumbai,india.There are various changes for Us consulate.U need to visit the consulate twice for OFC and actual visa interview.
The OFC visa interview was on 6th november.While at the OFC visa we noticed that the DS-160 form has her middle name missong on the form.I then quickly called the support team at US consulate mumbai and they approached me to fill new DS-160.The OFC went smoothly.
The visa interview was on friday november 9th.She has 2 Ds-160 confirmation with her.one by which appointment was scheduleda and the new one which had the name correction.
Interview as follows:
Mom:Good morning!!
VO:good morning,smileon face.
(mom feels better)
VO:Why are you going to US
Mom:to visit tourist places in florida,california.see my daughter and celebrate christmas.
VO:where do u work
Mom:i am a teacher
VO:how long u will be there
Mom:for 1 month stay

MOM:flight tickets I can manage and US expense will be taken care by my duaghter and son in law.

USEFUL TIP:VISA OFFICER IS CONCERNED WITH 2 MANIN THINGS
1.yOU NEED TO HAVE STRONG REASON TO COME BACK TO INDIA.eXAMPLE:JOB SECUITY,FAMILY,ASSET=PROPERTY
2.YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVE THEM YOU CAN HANDLE SOME FINANCES ON YOUR OWN.IN MY CASE WE MENTIONED PARTIAL EXPENSES.
