Hi guys, i went for my b2 visas a week ago and was denied because they felt i didnt have the funds to prove i could support myself on my trrip which i do but anyway i was just wondering what sort of funds you had for a month long trip as this time round i am only appllying for a visa for myself and im just going for a short stay of a month and leaving my son with my parents in australia. What sort of ties did you use toprove you were coking back home.? Do you feel my son is a big enough tie when it comes to this and the fact my whole family is here? The rerason im not goin to go for esta is cause i applied for b2 first and now not eligible for however long n have been told its hard to get into states once rejected b2 on esta.. Please email me with information on all this.

father visitor visa rejected

I am in L1 from april 2011, I have applied for my fathers visitor visa. He had interview on 9th aug which got rejected. My mom is a house wife and She was not interested to come USA so I have applied only for my Dad. I do have a brother and elder sis in India. My father got below qsns:
1> why r u going.
for tourisim purpose and to visit my doughter.
2> where u r going
ans novato
3> novato in which state
ans CA
4> what r u doing
ans I have a small business ( we did not mention any abt this in DS-160 )
5> how abt u r wife and other children
ans she is housewive and have 2 more children and 4 grand children
6> is she accompanying with you
no, she will join later

B2 visa process experience for parents
This site is wonderful. Just follwed steps from this site and my parents cleared their interview.
Most were standard questions as this site describes.
One extra question was did you visit any other country last few months?
My parents had visited singapore and they were asked to show the evisa proof. My father incidentally had detached it from the passport however he had carried with him the detached evisa copy and was useful.

I would like to sponsor visitor visa for my mother, sister and her family together. Can they all attend visitor visa as a group? Has any had similar situation in the past?
Since my mother is widow, she's staying with my elder sister and her family. I want my mother, sister and her (husband and kids) family attend interview together.

B1/B2 visitor's visa for my mother and in-laws

My in-laws appointment was at 9:45 AM on 19th August 2011 and both of them got visas
My mother's appointment was at 9:30 AM on 19th august 2011 and she got hey visa too!
VO didn't ask for any documents, he asked couple of questions and approved a visa
Good luck for all others who are applying for visa
BTW - I took telugu appointments for in-laws and parents

3rd attempt for my mothers visa appointment at Delhi

First of all thank you all for sharing info and helping each other.
My mother went for her B2 visitor visa for 3rd time at Delhi consulate and finally this time she got approved.
First time consular did ask simple questions like where you going and what your son does there, but seems like my mother got little nervous and wasn’t able to reply properly.
Second time she replied all there questions confidently but they asked for document specific for invitation letter, All documents was there but she couldn’t locate it bunch of other documents and VO seems didn’t care to help her in finding particular document and rejected.
3rd time VO did ask only four below questions and approved her visa
Where are you going?
Who does leave in US?
Why are you going?
Why isn’t your husband not joining for this trip (Didn’t get much leave from Govt. Service)

i had a visiting visa appointment today n it was rejected ..tatz k but watz more irritating is dey dint ask any question n just say sorry mam ,what is this ?n most distrubing question which stuck my mind again n again is 4 what reason did she reject ,cant dey give us a dam reason...
we spend nerly 1 months time for setting all da papers n all preparation and she dint even ask for one document r paper ...cant dey spend one dam minute to check the papers tat v carry all da way n then if she is rejecting der is a point !!!!
