My parents had a bad experience. Please help with your suggestions.
My parents had a bad experience. Please help with your suggestions.

My Parents are above 60 years and not educated, but finance wise they are good because of Family business.
They have assets worth more than 10 cores in India.
I am a green card holder here. I provided all the documents for them and they went to Interview in the month of March 2005 in Chennai, Their visa got rejected under (214 B), No questions asked.
They have section 214 B paper to them.

Again I asked them to go for the second time in the month of July. In July also when they went for the interview, The Consulate asked them few question, like
CO: Who is in USA?
MY PARENTS: My son and Daughter in Law
CO: what is your son doing there?
MY PARENTS: Software Engineer
CO: What do you do here for living?
MY PARENTS: Business (film business)
CO: what is your property worth?
MY PARENTS: They showed the documents and said the assets worth is 10 cores
CO: what are your month expenses?
MY PARENTS: approximately 20 thousand.
CO: Why are you going to US?
MY PARENTS: To the beautiful country (as Tourist and to see my son)
CO: How many children do you have?
MY PARENTS: 4 children, except my 2nd son all stay with us, ours is a joint Family
CO: What is the guarantee that you will come back?
MY PARENTS: We have many properties and business to take care here and our other children also stay with us in India and we have responsibilities to take care and we are going to US only as a Tourist and visit some beautiful places. AND MORE OVER MY GRAND SON WHO IS A USA CITIZEN (4 years old)(born in USA for my son) IS STAYING WITH US IN INDIA and STUDYING HERE FOR PAST TWO YEARS AND HE IS CONTINUING HIS EDUCATION HERE IN INDIA. SO DEFINTLY WE ARE GOING TO COME BACK to INDIA.

CO: IS YOUR GRANDSON Really STAYING WITH YOU
MY PARENTS: Yes he is .He completed his LKG and now he is into UKG.
CO: What is the Proof? Did you bring him or his Passport?
MY PARENTS: No we didn’t not bring his passport, it is in our home in Vizak and we were told that kids are not allowed inside the consulate so we did not bring him too.
CO: We will allow him, Go Bring him, Next time when you come bring your grandson and his passport and handed over my parent’s passports to our parents.

My Parents did know what to say and they came out and explained to me what has happened.
This time they didn’t get any paper (reasons for not giving visa (section 214 b or section 221 g).
Simply the Consular Officer said to come back with my son next time (i.e.) (US Citizen staying with them). (Really my son is staying with my parents)
They put the stamp in the passport as application received)
 What does that mean?
Is the visa denied under Section 214 or 221?
Next time I got the interview date for my parents in the Month of January 2006.
This will be the third interview? Is it OK for my parents to attend the interview with my son?
Or this is just eyewash again.
What precautions do they need to take now?
Please advise

Thanks in Advance
Sunni

Multiple entry - rules
Hi,

Please let me know if there are any rules for multiple entry to US. My parents have 10yr visa.
They came here in April and stayed for 3 months. They are planning to come again in October. Do we need to take care of any new procedures or documents? Do we need to spent any minimum time span in India before re-entry ?

Thanks
Anil

Smooth and easy.
Thank you - people who've posted comments on this forum. Your experiences were useful for me.
My interview was a breeze - my company papers and profile seemed to be enough. An metallurgist visiting Carnegie Mellon's steel research center for my company. Sounds consistent.
All I did was look at the guy with a half-smile! "Next Window - please pay your issuance fee. Have a good trip, your visa is approved." And off I went with a (cheeky) thumbs up. Cheers!

Something against certain state people?
I deposited documents in Mumbai consulate last month, and officer asked me about my community. I am Gujarati and applying for business visa. I think I was separated because he had too many questions for me, not related to any work.
He asked if I had people in NewYork and what they did. I am going only for visiting relative, and also he has a company for me do business from India. Then one more officer asked same questions after I waited. Suddenly they said no visa for me. I had every possible papers and had done preparation. Still they said they need not give me reason. seriously I think they are targeting Gujaratis. When even our CM visa is rejected, makes me think like that.
