I took an appointment for my parents in Chennai and i got it in december.
i really want my parents to visit me soon.
does anyone know how to get cancelled appointments. how frequent should i check for appointmnet availability.

My mother won't get B1/B2 Visa under Medical emergency
Please don't apply for Medical emergency purpose in case if you want bring some one from India to US. My experience teaches me a lot about Madras consulate. Even if you tell the truth and bring all medical certificates from Us they won't beleive. After struggling a lot by producing all the necessary documents, they beleived us but they don't provide the Visa to my mother. So please don't apply for Medical emergency purpose. They will respond to your emai quickly but you won't get the Bi/B2 Visa.

Visitor visa - 2nd interview - insufficient funds
My mother's B2 visa was rejected under 214b. she recently went for the second time and was told that the sponsor did not haev sufficient funds to sponsor despite the fact that she was earning 41000$ a year. she was given a light greenish card with a number written on it and was asked to come again to prove sufficient funds. we dont know how much time we can take to revert to them.Also, we dont know how much bank balance is required to be shown.

in-laws got visa
I would like to thank immihelp for providing sufficient information, which I used to prepare my in-laws getting their visa on 11th July,2005 at Chennai consulate.
The following questions were asked
1)How many children do you have ?
2)What do you do ?
3)What is your salary ?
4)Do you have any letter from your school stating your vacation is granted ?
The interview went on pretty cool and my in-laws were granted a visa.

Parents got Visa
My parents got their visiting visa last week.They had their interview on july 5th at chennai counslate.My parents were in real tension.But the interview went smoothly.
Following questions were asked
1)Where did u work?
2)when did u retire?
3)How many kids do u have?
4)How long r u planning to stay?
5)Who is sponsoring for ur trip?
Just one question to my mother.

They got multiple entry for 10years.Thanks to this website.Iprepared questions from this website for my parents.

In-laws got visa.
Want to thank IMMIHELP. We prepared all the documents as per immihelp and my in-laws got visa at Delhi Consulate on July 11th. We even prepared our in-laws with all the questions which were listed in Vistor visa experiences and this helped a lot.
Questions asked to my father-in-law
1) How many kids do you have? How many in India & how many in U.S?
2) why you want to go to U.S?
3) How many months you want to stay?
4) How can you manage your finances just wiht pension
5) where does your son work? Place and address
6) where does your son stay?
The CO asked them to pay the fees and granted the visa. We don't have the information yet about how many years and whether Single entry or multiple entry.

My mom and my sister went to the US consulate this morning and after waiting for 5 hours inside the consulate they were denied visa on the ground that my sister could not convince that she is coming back...... that was ridiculous.

How long will you keep the clinic closed? 6 weeks
Why have you applied for a 6-month visa if you wish to return in 6 weeks? @#!$%^ ( my sister could not answer)
