some hope
My husband has been waiting almost 200 days since we submitted the application on June 15th. I contacted my senator and did several service requests. Yesterday I called uscis customer service and asked to speak to a tier 2 officer, but I was on hold for an hour and a half so I gave up. This morning I called again and spoke to a tier 2 officer more quickly. She brought up my husband's case and said that it was recommended for approval yesterday and the approval notice will be sent out shortly. This has been the best news I've heard in months, and I really hope the notice doesn't take too long to arrive. My husband started crying when I told him. It hurt so much to see him so miserable. This is way better than hearing that his case was still "under review". I'm happy to see a little light at the end of the tunnel. I'll update on what happens next once I get any more news. Hang in there everyone!

OPT extension
I submitted I-765 (with I485) on October 27, but my case has not been updated yet. My current EAD card ( F1 visa) will expire on January 27. After filling I485, can I apply for OpT extension? Thanks!

It's getting worse now.
Hello dear readers,

Who can hear the cry of my soul?

I am tired of submitting case inquiry. Now I am experiencing worse. I am stuck from moving forward, backward, up or down.
It is 258 days, 8 months, 14 days,  from the start date to now. I got a name that was updated and and it's more than 5 weeks, no sign of hope, it stays stuck and unchanged when I've tracked it online. If I had an alternative I would either forgot it or give up! Hufffff!

Thanks you guys for being updating your situation to help others stay alive, I can't either go limp me. I am collapsed already.

J-2 (c05) EAD
My timeline:

Not a GC application, seems these are a little faster, and biometrics or interview required.

10/13 application sent
10/18 application received
10/20 notification the application was received (by email)
11/15 First SR, based on job offer, refused because of lack of evidence after a few hours
11/21 Second SR also based on job offer, also refused
11/24 Contacted congressman by email, no answer
12/4 Called congressman, sent over documentation
12/14 Congressman submitted evidence to USCIS
12/15 Notice from USCIS that SR was accepted and my case was transferred to an officer.
12/19 EAD approved, and card being produced
12/22 Card sent
12/27 Card arrived! Finally!

This has taken what feels like forever, I started working on this in April, it took many steps prior to the EAD application.. Kept my job offer and starting to work in a few days!

Who is the officer?
Hello.

Does anyone know if there is a way to know which office is working on our case?

I believe when i got my GC i Knew who was working on my case and i would track all the people he had approved and how fast he was working. The office has a code like XTR***

Has anyone tried to call the tier 2 officer and ask them who is working on your case??

Nbc processing time
Hi all,
Has any of you noticed that the processing time of EAD based on pending i-485 adjustment application c9 changed from July 1st 2017 back to June 30 2017? Couple months ago I checked it was September 2017, then they updated it and changed to July, and now their processing time is June?!? I really don't know what's going on there. It's been 168 days I'm waiting for my EAD.

EAD Experience
Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum
I wanted to share my experience, still hoping for the best.

I had a U Visa (Victims of Criminal Activity: U Nonimmigrant Status)
Which expired 9/30/2017

8/18/2017 - My lawyer mailed forms I-912, I-765, I-485, and I-131
9/1/2017 - My case was received and they waived the filing fee for all forms.Three notices were mailed to me by my lawyer.

** LAWYER FAILED to notify me of my biometrics appointment (was scheduled for 10-25-2017)
I called many times and I'm not sure what the miscommunication was

12/1/2017 - Biometrics appointment was completed
12/13/2017 - Submitted 1st Service Request
12/27/2017 - Still waiting I'm on day 117, still no update

Anyone else filed I-485 due to a U Visa?

Hope everyone luck with their cases!!

After 3 SR's with no response (to date) I contacted my congressmen,
Received letter from him on 12.23.17 that EAD was approved on 12-19-17, nothing has been updated online and even my SR's still say that they are not assigned yet. We still havent recieved anything from USCIS. Does anyone know when we can expect the actual EAD to arrive?
