Use USPS Informed Delivery to track EAD
You can sign up with USPS, and everytime a package is mailed to your name and address, you will get a notification, and can track it via the USPS Informed delivery site.

If anybody could do this for a card they are waiting on, and let me know where the card originated, that would be awesome. I have a package from Washington that seems to be stuck, and not sure what it is, hoping its not my EAD, which I applied for mid September, with no updates.

Does anybody know where the cards come from?

EAD Card in the mail
Timeline:

I applied for my EAD based on marriage after my last EAD based on OPT expired middle of July

August 3rd 2017 - USCIS office received my application

October 18 (Day 76 after application) - a service request was submitted. I was told I will hear back in 30 days regarding the service request.

November 17 (106 days after my application and 30 days after the first service request) - I did not hear back on the first service request so I called again and another service request was put in.
The officer told me to expect a reply by Wednesday, November 22.

November 22 (111 days after the application, 35 days after the first service request and 5 days after the second service request) - I called again and this time the officer told me the 2nd service request will take 5 to 15 business days to get a reply (contrary to the November 22nd date .

November 28, 117 days after my application and I am yet to hear back on my application or any of the service requests.

November 29 (day 118) - I contacted my congressperson and asked for help to expedite it citing 2 job offers (1 I received in October and lost due to my EAD situation and another I am to resume early December) as well as severe financial loss as a result of not having worked for so long.

November 30 (Day 119) - Congressperson's office contacts NBC Congressional with attached job offers and privacy release forms to expedite my case.

December 4 (Day 123) - I am yet to hear back on any of the service requests so I contact USCIS and the level 2 office puts in a secondary service request on my most recent service request and says I should get a response by December 9.

December 8 (Day 127) - I get an e-mail from congress rep that the request for my EAD to be expedited has been approved. Wheeew.

December 11 (Day 130) - I contact USCIS and asked about the expedited request and the level 1 officer says it isn't showing in their system (apparently there is difference between NBC congressional and USCIS - my understanding is that USCIS forwards applications to NBC congressional to make decisions on applications). The officer however informs me that my case has finally been assigned to an officer.

December 12 (Day 131) - I contact USCIS again to ask about the secondary service request I was supposed to hear back on, on December 9 but the level 1 officer didn't have much information beyond it being assigned to an officer and telling me to wait some days so I request to be transferred to a level 2 officer. On speaking to the level 2 officer, she informs me my EAD has been approved and on December 8th a request was put in to produce my card. She further informs me that on December 11th the approval letter was mailed to me.

December 14 (Day 133) - I contact USCIS again and I was told my card has been mailed and I was given a tracking number. Whhhheeewww

As at right now, when I go to USCIS website and put in my receipt number it only tells me that my application was received on August 3rd. However, when I Login to myUSCIS and click on my case, it shows me that as December 13 my service request was completed but doesn't give further information.

Suggestions: While waiting for your EAD interview for jobs and get a job offer. Use the job offer to contact your congressperson and hopefully it will expedite your case. In retrospect my case was approved same day or a day after I received an e-mail from NBC congressional via my congress rep that my application for expedited EAD has been approved.

This is my 4th EAD (the previous 3 were STEM OPT EADs while this is marriage based) and this is the first time it has taken so long to get it approved so I am not sure what is going on.

EAD Frustrations
Sent to USCIS Texas: 30th September
Received by USCIS: 2nd October
Nothing since then. Didn't even get a message to say it had been sent to Vermont.

I went to the Vermont Processing Times about 2 months ago, and it said that as of September 30, they were up to applications from September 1st. Now, it says they're up to applications from August 16 2016!! Emailed my local Congresswoman and was told that they can't assist because my application isn't current (meaning USCIS isn't up to my application yet).

I'm almost at day 75, and I'm honestly unsure what to do from here. I guess I could apply for expedition based on financial loss via the Congresswoman?

Anyone else waiting on Vermont? Anyone else seen a random jump in dates on the processing times sheet?

EAD Waiting
Hello! Here is my update for my previous post!

First, This forum still AWESOME!

06/10: Got married
06/30: I-485, I-765, I-131 received by USCIS
07/15: Moved to different state (No issue with address change)
07/31: Biometric Appointment
(nothing for 140 day)
11/16: Contacted congressman (Still waiting to hear back)
November 30th will be 5 months since I heard anything from USCIS.

12/05: Congressman got back to me with a email from UCSIS "Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. These cases are currently under review with an officer."
12/13: Congressman sends and email that my applications got approved and the card and approval notice will be mailed to the address on file.
Still nothing from USCIS, but i guess I am one step closer to my EAD card!

It has been 166 days and since I filed my papers. I know this road is very difficult, and the wait time doubled, but keep your heads up and everything will be FINE!
