Regarding L2 EAD
Hello Everyone,
My PD is Jul 31,2017 for fresh L2 EAD.
I made an SR on day 110 day as i donot have any job at that time. i got an update that my case has not been assigned to any officer. Then i contacted congressman office on day 122 and forwarded all the required documents to expedite the case. There is no response from their office too.
Right now i got a job offer but the employer is not gonna wait so long. Can anyone suggest what be done now ? shall i raise one more SR or contact congressman office again?

My EAD experience
Hi everyone!
It was quite a wait for me to get my EAD but I finally did.
Attorney filed I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131 concurrently. (EB3) - NSC
PD: June 14
Put in a request for Expedite June 28 - Denied.
Attorney and I put in a couple of SRs, and I followed up with my state's congresswoman (Tammy Duckworth - IL) (that didn't prove to be much helpful for me)
Nov.13/14 - Requested to have a L2 officer call me back ... a nice officer returned my call, and I explained that I had a pending Job offer and I was going broke, she suggested if I could get an evidence of Job offer, she will put in a request to expedite the EAD production on grounds of financial disability which may or not be granted. (they never asked me for the evidence)
Nov. 21 - Status update changed to "card being produced".
Nov. 27 - Card mailed out. The attorney received it 2 days later.
I believe the L2 officer that returned my call played a major part in the processing of my EAD and I thank God for sending her to return the call!

Even called and spoke to someone via MSC's customer help line.... the officer basically just read what is literally on my case status page online.... something I could have read myself.
On day 93, I submitted my plea to my congressman.
My concern is, it is the holiday season after all and chances are, nothing will get into motion 15th Dec onwards right up till New Year! Which means by 28th Dec, it will be 4 months wait for me!
At this point I don't even care so much about working in the US (my EAD) anymore... I just want to go home.....! Been here in LA since May 2017.
I have some business to take care off back in my home country and I am STUCK here in the US.

H1B extension, awaiting EAD/AP
EB-1A, India, PD: 25-Oct-10 [PD from a previous EB2 filing]

My current H1B expiries on 26-Dec-17, I know the EAD/AP card is likely to come by end of Jan. Do I need to apply for a H1B extension? If its unnecessary, I would rather save $$. If I don't extend will I get a RFE for EAD in Jan?
I consulted two lawyers and each have a differing view.

my I-485 packet was submitted on 12/1/17 and was received by Texas service center on 12/4/17.
I have three questions:
1. Can somebody please share their experience, how long is it taking currently to get the EAD/AP card with the new interview requirement? Is the interview requirement even affecting the EAD/AP card timeline or only the actual green card timeline?
2. I have an international trip coming up in mid-February. Do you think I will receive my EAD/AP card by then?

AOS pack file with MSC (National Benefit Center)
Hi guys, since I filed my AOS pack with EAD, AP, in october 2, 2017, I have been reading this forum daily. I would like to share my timeline until now:
AOS c (9) pack filed and received by uscis: 10/02/2017
NOAs: 10/10/2017
Biometrics done: 11/09/2017
Now I am just waiting for any update in uscis website. Still showing:
On October 2, 2017, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by November 1, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
My question is: How long does it takes to get the EAD combo card, with AP, after biometrics is done, and if the processing time with MSC, National Benefit Center is faster than others service centers.
To not see any update in the website is killing me, just I see an internal update that was done last october 17 2017, but doesnt gives details. Any oppinion or suggestions about what to do?.. Just to wait to reach the day 70th to do SR?..

I'm waiting for my EAD for J-2 category. I've seen a a few post on here, and it looks like they all got their status change before 40 days. I am however almost at 50 days and have not heard anything.
Is anyone else still waiting for J-2 EAD from Potomac, or recently received it? How long have you been waiting?
