EB2-ROW Interview Exp
Here is my EB2-ROW interview experience

My interview was scheduled in the Chicago field office sharp at 8:00 am in the morning. We (spouse and kid) arrived around 7:20 am. Took around 10 minutes for security clearance (airport type security). After that we went to 2nd floor and sitting in the waiting area. Around 7:55 I got the serial number and started waiting in front of Door 2. Around 8:15 called our serial number.
.
IO was so nice, friendly and smiling every time. Once we get in the interview room, first thing she did the oath then took our picture and finger printing. Then she asked for interview notice and DL. First she interviewed me then she interviewed my wife and then she asked few kids friendly question to my kid.

She asked some basic questions like - What is your full name and DOB, Current address, Current job responsibilities, current visa status, Asked for Job offer letter, pay stubs last 3 months, W2 (2 years) and Tax return (2 years), Where this employment opportunity posted?? Is it in the website or newspaper?? Where did I work before and what was the role? Why you are not working in your employer’s office location?? Original marriage certificate, passport and original birth certificate, show all my EAD card Then asked almost all the yes/no question from the 485.

Interview went around 45 minutes. It was pretty good. At the end, she said your case looks clean but I would like to review your case once more. After reviewing if I find everything is ok and if the visa number is available then I move forward. And finally she gave us the big white paper “Notice of Interview Results” marked the first one crossed – Your case is being held for review.

We came out from IO’s room around 9 am. We were very stressful and confused since we didn’t get any positive response of approving our case. Whole day multiple times checked my case status but no update, showing us the previous status. Finally before going to bed, checked my case status again, and I thundered and thrilled, my case status has changed and its showing – New card is being produced. WOW simply WOW. I never expected we got our approval on the same day. Just awesome. I couldn’t even sleep in that whole night.

My advice to all of you, take the best preparation for the interview. At the time of interview, your answer does matter to approve or decline your case. Be truthful, nice, confident, and well dressed.

Good luck

So he handed me a letter and checked the box for "your i-485 interview is complete. however your priority date is not current at this time" , I am not sure what exactly this mean does this mean my visa is approved or its still under review

EB1C India - Need suggestion
Hi All, Need suggestion.

My i140 is approved. Waiting for priority date to file my 485.

Now I am planning to change the location with same employer different client/project. Will there be any problem if I change client or location at this movement.

I understand 485 is based on physical location of applicant. Can you suggest if any preference for location to get 485 approval quickly.

Need quick response please. Thanks.

L1A - Employment based GC
I filed my I-140 in April 2019 in Texas center. Current Receipt date for a case inquiry for Texas is September 2018.
My L1A is set for extension in April 2020. If my I-140 gets approved before L1 expiry can I apply for EAD or is this not the sequence of process?
Thank you

No Status Change After Interview Approval
Hello everyone,

We're under EB3 Application and had our interview recently. Still waiting for our Greencard. Some of the dates are:

15 Jul 2018: Priority Date
04 Nov 2018: Application Filed
11 Nov 2018: USCIS Received Date
14 Nov 2018: USCIS Notice Date
26 Nov 2018: I-140 Approval Date
21 Dec 2018: Transfer Date
25 Dec 2018: First Fingerprint Date
16 Feb 2019: P Approval Date
28 May 2019: Interview Ready Date
29 May 2019: Interview Notice Date
17 July 2019: Interview Date

The interview went really well. Officer started by asking basic I-485 questions from my husband and me and then he asked some of the yes/no questions. Then he asked for my husband's work documents and the document that proves we live together. It took less than 30 minutes and he said I'll recommend you for approval and you'll receive your green card in 2 weeks. But what is making us crazy is that it's already 13 days and nothing! Our status didn't change from that date and it's still showing "interview was scheduled". Does anyone experience the same thing?

EB-2 NIW self-sponsored - Philadelphia, PA
Hi everyone,

Here is our experience if it can help anyone.

Filed I-140 based on NIW on February 2018. Received notice for additionnal evidence in early July 2018, filed by end of August 2018, approved mid-September 2018.
Filed I-485/I-765 and I-131 Late October 2018.
Biometrics November 2018 - Status never changed from case was received until interview was scheduled mid-June 2019.
Received EAD/AP mid-May 2019.
Received courtesy letter for medical exam late May 2019, 2 weeks later interview was scheduled

Interview on 7/25/29 in Philadelphia.
IO was very cold and straightfoward, she made new photocopies of tons of paper including all passport, birth and wedding certificate, ask for 6 month of bank statement which she allowed us to send her via email from online app since didn't take all of them with me (I had one from February and took one from 2016 thinking that at least it shows that it was recently that my husband and I are leaving together), ask for all my diplomas (good thing I had them with me just in case as it wasn't listed on neither my lawyer or the letter for appointment).
Our lawyer had told us 3 days before that we had to make sure to ask to have our case processed before August 1st since there were no more visa available starting 8/1 and that we then should wait until October before hearing anything.
So we asked and we couldn't have a straight answer, just that the interview was over and that is it!

So really not a smooth and easy interview day, very stressful and now we are just back to square zero to wait and see and check the website 15 times a day ...

Good luck to everyone else!

Address change during 485 phase
Hi, all! if anyone can suggest this from their valuable experience?

My husband is primary applicant (EB2) and I am derivative. Currently, we are at last stage of 485 where the status is "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" (have not been scheduled yet). My husband is currently working for Employer "A" and Employer "B" is our sponsoring employer. Due to unanticipated circumstances, Employer "A" has assigned husband to new work location at different state. (He will join Employer "B" only after GC approval )
Our problem is , I (wife) will continue to live at current address where our interview will be held and we already have lease signed until the end of year with both of our names on lease. So, it will be our primary address, however if husband moves he will have secondary address too. We are using primary address for all mail and everything (including car registration, Driving License). My question is do we need to notify USCIS for change of address ? If yes, we do not want important stuffs to be sent in secondary temporary address. If no, i am afraid because this might be an issue later right? what is best thing to do when you have two home addresses?

Thanks in advance for all responses.

Interview at Newark filed office
We had Interview at Newark filed office July 22 morning , it lasted for about 30+ minutes . He verified all the information from the file and asked yes/no questions . At the end he told he needs to see the file once more and will approve the file if medical are good and less than year( my medicals are done in the month of November 2018) and is good. However my attorney who was with me when coming out said that the dates can retrogresssed . Does any one knows or face similar situation. Now the online status is still " schedule for interview"
