Decision withheld because of Criminal Record
I had my interview yesterday. I had 3 misdemeanors on record. The interview went well; the officer did not give me tough time. However, he said he will have to review my case with the supervisor.
My status hasn't changed. It still says Interview was Scheduled.
I am so used to waiting at each stage that I am prepared to wait another 3 or so months to hear from USCIS.
A little disappointed, I'd say.
I didn't leave the country for the last 9 years because I was afraid my criminal record will catch up to me.

Usps for green card delivery
Hey guys, my status just changed to “card was picked up by USPS” and provided tracking number. My question is: when usps comes to deliver the card do I have to be present or will they just leave the envelope with the card in the mailbox?

Thanks,

EB3 Process
Location: LA Downtown

I had my interview last Tuesday and got my application approved on the spot. The interviewer asked me and my wife about our relationship, how we met and when we got married and why the location we chose etc. He then went through my wife's immigration history (we're from different countries but met and got married in the US) by asking about her student visa and O2 visas that she had while working. He mainly asked me about my employment, if I was still working there, what my job duties are, what the correlation is between my work and the income the company makes. He asked a bit about my travel history, when the last time I entered the US was and things like that. I wish I knew about that beforehand, because I was not prepared so had to think to not answer anything wrong.

At one point he asked that I had an L1 visa in 2012 and he asked why I wasn't using it. I don't know if that was a trick question to see if I was paying attention or if he got the wrong dates, because I got very confused and had to correct him and say that I got my L-1 visa in 2016 which was the first time I visited the US.

My timeline:
2017/09/26 - Started my PERM process
2018/05/01 - Filed PERM application
2018/09/12 - Application approved and closed
2018/10/08 - Started application i-140 EB3 PERM based application, i-131 (travel doc), i-485 and i-765 applications
2018/11/09 - Appointment notice for biometrics received
2019/01/04 - i-131 and i-765 approved
2019/02/21 - i-140 approved
2019/05/23 - Recieved interview notice, went to get medical exam i-693
2019/07/02 - Interview date, approved i-485

EB2 Visa Experience
Location: LA Downtown
Time: 12:15pm

The interview started at 12:50pm. Went through all the information in I-485 with the visa officer. The only question she asked me outside of the 485 was job responsibilities and relationship history with my wife. She had to update the 485 as i switched employers, submitted the I-485 J Supplement for job portability. She asked questions regarding my old job and new and how they connected they are. Asked me and my wife about join documents for our marriage, when did we meet and who proposed, etc.

At the end of the interview she said its a very straight forward case, the marriage is bonafide and she has no problem approving the case on the spot, the only thing is my I485 was filed when my I-140 was pending and i-140 got approved recently(Feb 2019), so she has to check in the system about my I-140 and since job portability was new information for her, she had to check the new employer and everything. She said she would update the status once those 2 things are verified.

The officer showed us that my wife's file was brown color and mine was green, which meant that her file is complete and mine needs some verification; in my case it was just the I140. The officer sounded very positive that it shouldn't be long before she approves the case.
