Hi friends,
I am going to appear for visa interview (L1B) with my wife and son(15months) on 9th aug. I have 2.4 yrs exp with my current company and 9 months expereince in current project. But 1.5 years of expereince in current domain.
Is that above numbers are fine to them to convince?
also how to emphsize on special skills.
kindly help your guidance.

Our L1 and L2 visas got approved on 2nd august. Thanku so much for this immihelp becoz it helped us so much. Our interview was at 8:15, be in time and do all those things which they ask u u to do.
now its time for us.

my husband:2yrs and 3 months.

then she is ust stamping, and she find that it is not working and she is just watching that fr 4 min. and she stamped. she is just typing on system and said ur visa got approved and will com within 7 days.
after listening the client name she didnt asked any thing, bcos it is the top most one in usa and it is good one.
Dont get afraid of this, it is very easy. my husband also very tensed before going to interview.
dont take anything to this us consulate. even cellphones,metals,cosmetics. no probs with vallet, bags.
so be confident, somewhat it depends on our luck also..
so all the best friends.

The VO asked too many questions, and was literraly trying to find a reason to reject it.
But dont worry, there is usally nothing they can ask which you dont know. The key is not to be paniced, and be confident.
He asked me the following questions.
what are you going to do in US?
Team size?
Why only you among all?
what is this project all about?
who is the client, whats their business?
Specilized knowledge?(intrrupted in between, and asked why this is specilized skill?)
who will be your supervisor there?
where are you going to work?(company location or client location)

Chennai, L1B Individual got approved for myself & my spouse
Hello,
I had my visa interview on 30th Jul 2010. My interview was @ around 8:15 AM & I reached there by 7:45 AM. I had to stand in a long queue. But by around 8:15 I was in after all initial procedures (this will taken by Indians). You’ve to show your BEP folder (if on BEP program), invitation letters by your company etc etc. Then they’ll take your ten finger print (all 10 fingers). Once this is done BEP guys were asked to wait in the same hall & others were asked to go to a near by building. Don’t know why? Those with kids were given preference. After waiting for 10 minutes I was asked to go to counter # 12 were my interview happened.
My heart was thumping as I saw the guy who was standing in front of me was being questioned thoroughly. He took almost 20 minutes for that guy & finally rejected the visa. I got numb ! Next was my turn & he asked me for the petition documents. I gave it to him & waited for his ‘questions’. 1st one came
1. How long you have been with YYYY YYYY ? Ans: 4 years & 4 Months
He started typing something on the screen. My hurt was about to blast ! He turned to my wife & asked “When did you get married?” . I was like ah ! Because I understood that he was about to issue my visa. Next he asked us to show him the marriage certificate & photo album. After going through the photo album he asked how many attended my wedding. I said around 400. That’s it ! Then came the golden words “Your visa is approved & enjoy your stay in united states”
Huh ! Even now I couldn’t believe why he didn’t ask anything else. I was more worried as I had H1B & never used. He didn’t even cancel my H1 & B1 which I already had. The thumb rule is “Nothing !” it all depends on your luck & what kind of guy is interviewing you. A small factor also goes to the company you are working for ! Good luck & all the best for all those who are planning to attend the interview.

Don't listen to whats going on around. It might be depressing. Keep yourself happy. Everything is God's will. Do your part well(prepare) and leave the rest in His hands.

Here is how my interview went.

Me:XYZ.I will be working in XYZ project.
VO:What will be your duties there?
Me:I will be implementing ABC using DEF which is our in house product.Explained how
this will help the client in one sentence,
While I was answering this,she cancelled my existing dependent visa.
VO:What is your specialization?
Me:DEF.Explained DEF in a sentence.
VO:Is your husband in California too?(she started writing something)
Me: No,India.
VO:Will he be joining you?
Me:No
VO:Your visa is approved.It will be couried to you.

The key is confidently explain that you are going for something which only you know.If many people approaches the VO and says same DEF , then it is longer a unique thing.They feel such cases should be applied as H1 or L1 individual, and L1B is for specialized knowledge. And if you are doing Manegerial tasks, they feel L1A is the right category.
