L1, L2 Visa

  Thanks for all your suggestion posted here. Its gonna be last visit for me for this site at least for couple of months from now as My L1 B Blanket Visa got rejected today morning I went with my wife. Please find my conversion below. I will be happy if it helps to anyone.

ME: GM!
VO: GM! How are you?

ME: Very good. How are you doing sir?
VO: I am very Fine. File please.

VO: Who is your Client?
ME: ZZZ

VO: Who is your employer?
ME: YYY

VO: Exp with YYY and Client?
ME: I have 3 Yr and 10 Months experience with YYY and with YYYY I have 1 year and 4 months of experience

VO: Whats your project?
ME: I am going to Enhance and Integrate a product called ZZZ with YYYY specific customization tool AAA and BBB. Apart from the enhancement and integration, I will also design Test Strategy and Test Plan for Integration Testing purpose.

VO: Whats your specialized Knowledge?
ME: I have good knowledge in YYYY Specific customization tool AAA and BBB as I am working as an administrator for these tools for last 1 yr 4 mnth with overall 3 yrs of experience in these technologies. Apart from that I have similar type of Integration knowledge from my previous clients.

VO: What exactly you are going to do?
ME: I will create a component for ZZZ and integrate the ZZZ with AAA and BBB

VO: What is ZZZ, AAA and BBB?
ME: ZZZ is a project management tool developed by YYY for YYYY for managing their project management activities. BBB is a Test Management tool and AAA is a requirement management tool

VO: Who developed BBB and AAA?
ME: AAA is a PPP tool. BBB was developed by QQQ and now owned by RRR.

VO: So BBB and AAA are 3rd Party tool? What you do with these tool for ZZZ?
ME: Yes. Based on the client requirement for continuing their IT business, we used to receive the change request for these tools. Based on the CR, we will implement the changes in the tool and make them ready for ZZZ.

VO: How many people there in YYY with the knowledge in BBB and AAA?
ME: There are some people in YYY having knowledge in BBB and AAA. But very few of them have YYYY Specific customization knowledge for these tools.

VO: Why the project can not be executed from Offshore?
ME: The product will be deployed in various places across US. So to implement the project, I should get place specific parameter from client regularly. Gathering these type of information is not possible from Offshore so I have to travel to US for that.

VO: Why you should travel I mean why YYY has selected you?
ME: Its a business requirement. to implement the project one should have complete understanding of YYYY specific customization tool BBB and AAA. As I have worked as an administrator for these tools for 1 yr 4 month and have similar type of Integration knowledge, My Employer has selected me.

VO: How many people working in your Team?
ME: 4 at offshore and 1 at onsite

VO: Why not any one of them?
ME: They are junior and not involved with critical customization. They are mostly working for testing and doing small customization. So I am the only person has required knowledge to execute the project.

After hearing this answer he stopped and said Sorry I can not approve your VISA for this time. Thanks for coming

Surprisingly, not a single question to my wife.

I am not sure what was the reason to reject my VISA as I have answered all the questions properly. I did show a good posture and also was very confident and never stumbled for any answers.

I wish you all "All the very best".... Remember one thing "Whatever happen is happen for good"

Answer all the questions correctly. Your company is sponsoring u for L1 because you have got talent.

So dont try to Morph the truth. Present it as it is. It presents the best chance that you have to crack it.

Tips:

1. if you have less experience (<2) with current client project your skill and past experience in the similar projects.

2. If you have more experience with the client then make sure you highlight it effectively

tricks: State experience in months than years.
        Answer to the point
        Be brief
        Dont show nervous ness at all. Be cool
Behave as if you are doing huge favour to your compnay by moving to US.

I have been working with this client for more four months. This is a new account for my employer since 2010.

I have gone through almost all the slides. Could any of yo pls answer exactly what u said. It will be really helpful. If you don't wish to say ur appliation name use ZZZ.

Yaa.. u shud never think of lie.. I assume u already possess sound knowledge in Technology or in domain in past. i.e. you are atleast working in same technology or domain for past three yrs but u hav came to a new client but still with same technology or domain then u can project that. In whichever point you are strong and confident project that well.. go thru PRD and get thorough in it. All the best!!!

We need to tell original what we have while attending the VISA stamping interview. That is enough and should not lie. Is it correct..?Could you please advise me ASAP?

I am going to attend the L1-B blanket Visa stamping interview by end of this month. Here is my doubt, I have mentioned that my experience with YYYY client for more than five months in the justification letter. Could you please let me know whether it will create the problem (it means reject the visa application) and let me know how to answer in the case.

Please answer ASAP so that I can prepare accordingly.

Hi,
My L1B got rejected two months back (April 25). The reason given for my rejection was that i was not a skilled resource.

Now my is it safe for me to apply L1 Induvidual OR H1B ??? My company is ready to apply anyone of the two. But due to my L1B rejection, I am not sure which one to apply ?
Kindly let me know which of the two (L1Induvidual or H1B) has more chances of getting through...

Can i process a H1B or L1Induvidual ?

 below is my specific observation from questions faced.

 don't mentione any time that you are going to do some programming stuff there.

 be cleare on who is your client and who is customer and who is your employer.

I was tensed reading all the user comments in this forum. The interview was scheduled at 8:30 AM and I reached there by 7:45 AM and there was a big queue ahead of me. The interview letter was checked at the outside and then after the security check i etered documents were checked and I entered inside the building and then the first process of cheching the docs was done. then i was sent to a different builing for the DD submission and again to a different counter for the interview.
Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning
VO: who is your client
Me: xxx
VO: what will you do for them
Me: i will do aaa,bbb,ccc etc for them
VO: what will you be working on
Me: eee
VO: How many years of experience in eee
Me: i mentioned the total years of experience
VO: why you?
Me: bla bla
VO: I will approve your visa
Me: thank you

Tips:
Dont panic, be cool and confident (atleast disguise your fears)
Dont lie, even if you lie, be confident.
Dont liken your situtaion to the others mentioned here, it can be unique for you.
Prepare answers for all the questions mentioned in the forum. Practice all the answers.
The harder you try, the more pressure you experience.
