Can I book an appointment at Kolkatta or New Delhi?

B2 for self sponsoring parents
Hello.
I am working on H1B Visa and my Father and mother are going to apply for B2 Visa. My father is working for Govt. for more than 35 yrs.
They are planning for a 40 days visit to US.
How much bank balance would be needed since he is self sponsoring?
I am the only son. My father is still in Govt service and owns property. Would relationship ties would be a problem in this case?
Please advice.

how can i get the visa?
My husband and me have L1 and L2 visa.he is in USA and me in India.now we want a visitor visa for my mother in law.we scheduled a visa interview but we didn't get it as my husband is the only son and my father in law is no more with us.so how can we get the visa.i am pregnant,if i go to USA and we invite her by giving the reason of my delivery,Is it possible to get the visa?

hello everyone, i have been reading the posts here for a month now and im happy because its really helping a lot.. i am having my u.s tourist visa interview this coming aug.. pls pls someone give me advise as to how can i improve my chance of getting the visa, im 25 y.o, working in a call center for 1year and 4mos, have a land title under my name, and i have abank statements with my saving of 5oo,000.00 pesos.. would that be enough?.. i also have a business here aside from woring in a call center.... pls give me some advise. i hope i will have the same luck as most of you who has granted a visa. thank you so much and GOD BLESS. First I would like to express my heart felt thanks to immihelp for having this section from where I could read al interview questions and experiences of other people.
Thank helped me a lot to help my parents prepare for the visa interview.
Me and my wife conducted a mock interview for them atleast 5 times.
My parents had their visa interview yesterday July 15th at the chennai consulate.
Description of visa officer from my parents words,
Hefty, short hair, White, Age 50 to 55,counter number 2
(Note Ive also heard/read from many forms that a similar described officer to be very hard to convince.Im not sure if its the same officer.)
Questions:
To my Dad first
1.How long are you working as YYYY
Ans:30 years
2.When will you be getting your pension from?
Ans:2014
To my Mom
1.How many children do you have?(This was the question that we very much worried about.Coz I read from many forums that parents having only one child could be viewed as potential immigrant.So we were prepared for this question and my parents were keen on projecting about my grandparents who live with my parents as dependents.)
Ans: Only one son but, we have my inlaws living with us.We take care of them.
VO: Are they living with you in your house?
Mom: Yes
VO:Have a nice trip and enjoy your vacation to the US.You will get your passport in less than 2 weeks!

Visitor Visa with I-130 approved
I recently got my B1/B2 Visa renewed (got 10 years ME). I was apprehensive about it, because I have a I-130 immigration petition although approved, but waiting for priority date to be current. I have visited US many times in the past with a clean record & guess since my intent has always been clear to immigrate only when I get the Green Card approved, the Visa Officer are smart enough to understand genuine cases. Happy that I can visit my relatives in US & not keep waiting for the priority date that may be atleast 3-4 years away & who knows even after that whether the Green Card is approved or not!!
