India Emergency Visa
Emergency visas are granted to persons of Indian origin only holding a U.S. passport, in case of a genuine emergency like death or illness of a blood relative (such as parents, children or siblings/) or a legal commitment. The decision of the Consular Officer will be final regarding what constitutes an emergency.

Emergency service will not be available to applicants falling under reference categories.

Weddings, visits for a religious purpose or visits for tourist/family do not fall in this category.

In addition to the general documents, the following documents are required:

  • Documentary proof of emergency such as death or medical certificate.

  • A confirmed printed flight ticket (not itinerary) for the same day on which the visa is being sought. If the departure date falls on a working day, please apply on that day at Cox & Kings Global Services.
